Dr. Tina Duong
Hi! Thanks for taking an interest in our practice. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California where I attended the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) and obtained my Bachelors of Science degree in biochemistry. Being a true UCLA Bruin, I decided to also pursue my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) at UCLA. It was during a volunteer dental mission in Mexico that I realized my passion was to be with kids and help them achieve better oral health.
This led me to dedicate my career to specialize in children where I completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at UCLA. I had the opportunity to work with medical experts at the world famous Rady's Children's Hospital in San Diego, California where I had extensive experience working with children with special needs. I also have experience working at the San Ysidro Community Health Clinic working with low-income populations. No matter what these children’s backgrounds were, my goal as a pediatric dentist was always the same: to create a positive dental experience and work with families to find ways to prevent dental cavities.
After my residency program, I wanted to experience life outside of California, and decided to move to Upstate New York working at a community clinic serving the low-income families of Rochester, NY. While living in Rochester, my husband, a Toronto native, and I frequented weekend trips to Toronto. It was at those times where I fell in love with Canada appreciating its ethnic diversity, friendliness and multiculturalism. We then decided to make the move to Burlington to start our family here. We both had negative dental experiences as children so we wanted to build a dental clinic that would not only provide children with a positive and FUN dental experience. but also an educational one for parents.
Dr. Avin Gupta
Hello and Welcome to our practice! Originally born and raised in downtown Toronto, I attended the University of Toronto where I obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Political Science.
I then moved to historic Philadelphia to attend the 2nd oldest dental school in the Americas, Temple University where I obtained a combined Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) and Masters of Public Health Degree (MPH). I felt that obtaining an MPH in addition to my DMD was important because I understand that teeth are connected to people who are part of families that make up communities. This allowed me to approach dentistry from not only a clinical perspective, but also from a community one emphasizing prevention on a larger scale.
My passion for children and being a true kid at heart led me to further education and training in pediatric dentistry at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in beautiful Southern California. It was during my training at the world renowned Mattel Children's Hospital that I became an expert in the growth and development and behavior management of children learning from the world’s top experts in the field.
After receiving my certification as a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, I moved back home to Canada. Being fearful of the dentist myself as a child, I wanted to build a FUN dental clinic so children can actually grow up loving the dentist! I noticed that not only was Halton a beautiful place to settle down and raise a family, but it had an unmet need in pediatric dental health.
I look forward to meeting your entire family and providing your children with a positive dental experience that will last a lifetime.

Dr. Duong and Dr.Gupta are not only professional partners but outside the clinic they are also partners in life. They were brought together by their shared passion for children and their outgoing, goofy personalities. As a husband and wife team, our clinic will always be able to provide both male and female doctors for parents and children who have a preference.
As board certified pediatric dental specialists in Burlington, Milton, and Stoney Creek, we aim to be the leading voice for children's dental health within the Halton and Hamilton communites. We look forward to meeting you and we hope you choose us to be part of your medical family.
Our approach to pediatric dentistry consists of THREE main goals:
To monitor the growth and development of your child’s teeth to ensure that your child grows up with the healthiest dentition possible
To provide you the parent with the most up-to-date information so you can make informed decisions. In the end, the decisions about your child’s health are 100% yours
To build the foundation for a lifetime of healthy teeth by creating a kid friendly and fun dental experience for your child. Research shows that when people have positive dental experiences during childhood, they are more likely to have healthier teeth for the rest of their life
